About me
I'm passionate about the ever-evolving landscape of the IT industry. My journey began with a keen interest in learning new technologies, and even before earning my degree in Computer Science, I was immersed in the field as a technical support professional. The dynamic nature of the industry led me to transition into web development, and for the past five years, I've found my true calling as a Data Engineer.
In my role as a Data Engineer, I've had the privilege of constructing numerous data pipelines on Google Cloud, leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as Airflow, Spark, Kafka, and Beam. My proficiency spans multiple programming languages, including Python, SQL, Java, and Javascript.
Curious about my transition to Data Engineering? Allow me to share the story.
During my tenure as a Web Developer, I sought a career shift that aligned more closely with my interests. Serendipitously, I found myself working on a project with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for the first time, attempting to craft my inaugural data pipeline. After three months of rigorous exploration and testing, I successfully built my first pipeline, an epiphany that clarified my professional aspirations.
One year later, I made the leap from Web Developer to a Data Engineer role at a new company. Eager to deepen my expertise, I embarked on a journey to attain my first GCP certification. While the path was challenging, I embraced the opportunity to dive into extensive documentation, devour books, complete courses, and commit to daily, even weekend, study sessions. The challenge felt like a game because I genuinely enjoyed the subject matter.
Now, each day in my role brings me immense joy. I relish the opportunity to explore state-of-the-art technologies in the data engineering realm. Beyond GCP, I'm broadening my knowledge to include other cloud platforms, pursuing certifications in Azure and AWS. My commitment to continuous improvement reflects my aspiration to be among the best in the industry.
I understand that aiming high may seem audacious, but I firmly believe in thinking big and trusting in one's abilities.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about my journey.
